Modern Techniques

Sydney Permanent Make-Up Centre stays up-to-date on current trends and cosmetic tattoo methodologies. Our cosmetic eyebrow tattoos come in a variety of options to achieve the perfect look for your face.

We are in the business of designing faces.

On the day of the treatment, we will measure and shape your eyebrows with a pencil first before we implant the colour of your choice. The brows will be designed for your own face shape to enhance your best features. There are many different methods you can choose from, 3D feathering for a more soft natural look, Ombre’ method for a more powdered look, or soft shading for a fuller look.

If you’re going through chemotherapy or you have alopecia one of the first things you lose is your eyebrows and eyelashes, this is where brow and eyeliner tattooing can help you feel normal again when you look in the mirror. We are here to help you.

An organic pigment is implanted into the skin with a micro needle which will make the colour look darker for 5 days then it will settle by 40%. We recommend touching up your brows every 1 to 2 years as different skins retain colour better than others, this is depending on the skin types. Some clients may need a touch up after 3 weeks at a small fee.

Drier skins tend to retain pigment far more effectively than oilier skin types. Clients who use active ingredients in skincare such as retinol, AHA or any acid-based skincare need to be careful not to apply it on the tattooed area as it will fade the brows faster.

During the Procedure

The treatment will take about 90 mins. Numbing cream will be applied before and during the procedure for your comfort. Some clients will experience a sensation of wanting to sneeze, but this is a normal reaction. Sometimes, an antihistamine is recommended.

As long as the procedure is carried out by a trained professional, it should be fine. Sydney Permanent Make-Up Centre’s tattoo artists all have years of experience in performing all types of eyebrow tattoos, adapting to trends and customer preferences.

If you have any questions about safety or the procedure in general, we would be glad to answer them. Contact us.

Eyebrow Feathering

Eyebrow feathering is an eyebrow tattooing technique that replicates natural hairs. We’ll give you a soft, natural look by sketching hair-like lines on the skin using a machine or a tool. It’s a great technique if you’d like a more effortless look or if you want to keep your existing eyebrow shape but your brows are thinning out.

Ombré Brows

Ombré brows are two-toned eyebrow tattoos that last up to three years. While eyebrow feathering attempts to replicate natural eyebrow hairs using fine lines, we can give you ombré brows by tattooing minuscule dots on your skin that get thicker or thinner depending on the area. The overall look is supposed to look a little more polished than natural brows, like you just swiped on some product and went about your day.

Microshading

This Method is a Combination look which entails feathering and shading together.  Using the feathering technique at the front of the brow to give a Natural look  and a  filled-in look through out the rest of the brow, similar to a pencilled brow giving you longer last but natural at the same time.

Microblading

With this technique, we’ll use fine hair strokes through a hand tool. The result will simulate real hair, but you will need touch ups regularly.

This method is only suitable for 20% of the population, Its works best for people who have a perfect brow but just needs  feather stokes to give the brows a more symmetry look.

This method may not be suitable depending on different medications and skin conditions.

Using these methods, we can achieve the perfect eyebrow look for you! Contact us today, so we can discuss which method would suit your desired look.

New Trends

  • Dark, heavy, pronounced brows, tapering very slightly at the end – a la Kim Kardashian.

  • Brush-stroke brows – a rounder look, with no noticeable peak as seen on Margot Robbie, Cate Blanchett, Sophia Vergara, and Miranda Kerr.

  • Full, intense brows – following the style made famous by Cara Delevingne and Lily Collins.

After the Procedure

After the procedure is completed, the numbing cream will begin to wear off. As a result, some patients may experience tingling and slight discomfort after the eyebrow tattoo procedure. One or two days after, you may also experience some skin irritation, redness, and swelling.

We’ll make sure to give you specific aftercare instructions to ensure you maintain your tattoo and maximise its results.

We also recommend following these steps:

  • Let us know in advance if you’re planning on undergoing procedures that use chemicals and lasers in the near future. These procedures may affect the eyebrow tattoo’s overall appearance.

  • Avoid prolonged sun exposure since it will make your eyebrow tattoo fade faster. You may also use sunscreen to make your tattoo last longer.

Right after the procedure, the tattoo may look darker than you initially requested. However, this is normal, and it will naturally fade within one week to your preferred shade.

Different Eyebrow Tattooing Methods

Brush-stroke

With this technique, you’ll get full-feathered, natural-looking eyebrows using a machine with fine needles that create more strokes. It is suitable for all ages and skin tones since the machine lets us fully control the thickness of strokes, and we can customise colours based on your preference.
